WHAT
Factry’s is an open manufacturing software that helps analyzing, visualizing and improving any industrial process. I helped them visualizing the released v5.0 of Factry Historian, a new feature that detects events and aggregate context on those events using raw process data.
HOW
They developed a new landing page to explain the new features. Because of the complex data and process they chose to support this with animated charts in a more simplified way. After a couple of rounds of storyboarding, we landed on the concept of 3 line charts.
Finding and matching the golden batch
Sampling historical data on top of real-time values and set points, and streamlining product quality.
Applying new parameters to historical data
Configuring and editing events and applying the new logic retroactively.
Reading and calculating event properties
Detecting any critical production event and automatically obtaining properties about it.
